A pledge is a non-binding commitment made in good faith. To make it easier for you to complete a pledge, we encourage commitments fulfilled over the three-year pledge period. You may satisfy a commitment through monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual installments. Most parishioners use the options listed to fulfill a pledge. Pledges and donations are remitted through the St. Vincent de Paul Campaign Fund at the Advancement Foundation of the Diocese of Fort Worth.
The Advancement Foundation is separately incorporated from the Diocese of Fort Worth; however, it serves the long term needs of the diocese, parishes and schools. All funds collected through the REVIVE – REVERE – REACH Capital Campaign for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church are restricted for the purposes outlined in the campaign materials. If you are interested in making a gift that is not in cash, check or credit card, please contact Dianna Rhoads with Advancement Foundation of the Diocese of Fort Worth at [email protected] or (817) 533-3174.
Or, Text REVIVE to 817-934-4503 to donate via cell phone.
CASH
Most parishioners use cash, check or credit card to fulfill their commitments since it allows the parish to address its immediate needs.
APPRECIATED ASSETS
Donations of appreciated securities, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds or mineral interests provide special tax advantages and can be a great way to provide a significant gift to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a distribution of funds from an IRA owned by an individual who is age 70 or older. The distribution is paid directly from the IRA to a qualified organization. Because the gift goes directly to the St. Vincent de Paul Campaign Fund at the Advancement Foundation without passing through your hands, the dollar amount of the gift may be excluded from your taxable income.
REAL ESTATE
Gifts of property entitle you to an income tax deduction equal to the full market value with no tax on capital gains.
LIFE INSURANCE
You may donate an existing or new policy by simply naming St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church as the owner and beneficiary.
PLANNED GIFT
This is the process of carefully selecting the best method and assets for making a charitable gift. A planned gift can enable you to take full advantage of the tax laws to accomplish their financial and charitable goals. A bequest contained in a will is the most common form of planned giving.
CORPORATE MATCHING GIFTS
A matching gift program provided through an employer or board membership may allow you to increase the size of your donation. Many companies match the charitable gifts of employees, retirees or board members.
