This ministry enables the sung prayer of the whole assembly, as well as to add its unique contribution of harmony and various sonorities of instruments. All of the efforts of the many people who make up our music ministry are oriented toward the goal of raising hearts and minds to God through full, active participation in music and song. To this end, we have several choirs and instrumentalists.
Adult Choir – The adult choir sings year round at the Mass of their choice. It is open to anyone High School age or older. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 7:00-9:00 PM. The choir also warms up before Mass.
Children's Choir - The children's choir sings every 3 weeks at the Sunday liturgies from November to Easter Sunday. It is open to anyone from grade 3 through grade 8. Rehearsal is on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 -7:00 PM.
Cantors/Psalmists - Cantors/Psalmists are recruited from and rehearses with the choirs. Anyone interested in being a cantor/psalmist should first join a choir and then audition with the director.
Instrumentalists - Open to any instrumentalists (e.g. flute, guitar, violin, etc.) who have played their instrument for at least two years.
